Girivan is a fully developed recreational destination. It is located at Dongargaon village near Kolvan, Taluka Mulshi, District Pune. It is a ‘Mini Mahabaleshwar’ which is 40 kms from Pune and 120 kms from Mumbai. It is 2400 ft. above sea level i.e 400 ft. higher than Lonavala. The climate here is cool, refreshing and full of energy. This is a good place for one day's picnic or an over-night stay with friends and family. One can also go trekking and hiking in the mountains. And more importantly, the surrounding forest is filled with native plants and trees amongst which, many of them have medicinal value.
